'Avakaya Biryani' to be out in November

With three consecutive hits - Anand, Godavari and Happy Days, Sekhar Kammula has become a brand now. Especially his brand sells in big way in overseas market. For the first time, he is producing a film that he is not directing. Sekhar’s longtime associate Anish is directing his first full length feature film on their banner Amigos Creations. Titled Avakaya Biryani, the film has Kamal Kamaraju (who did second lead in Godavari) and newcomer Bindu Madhavi in the lead roles.

“My contribution to this movie is nothing except that I am serving as producer. Anish has been my friend and longtime associate. He had contributed to all my films. I have decided to produce Avakaya Biryani as his script is really interesting and fabulous. The film is essentially a love story between an auto driver and a girl who sells pickles,” Sekhar Kammula explained to the media at a press meet held today (October 5, 2008) in Hyderabad.

Director Anish informed that the movie is shot in completely in Vikarabad and surrounding areas. “It is a film with rural backdrop. All the actors are newcomers and they are best suited for their characters. I thank Sekhar Kammula for giving me opportunity and realize my dream to direct a feature film,” Anish said. He also hoped that the film’s music would be big hit. “We are releasing the music this month end. Movie would hit the screens in November,” he added.

The film has music by Manikant Khadri.
