Hyderabad: Jana Vignana Vedika (JVV) activists on Tuesday demanded that the Censor Board ban Ram Gopal Verma’s ‘Raksha’.
JVV members said it would pay Rs 10 lakh to Verma and his associates if they could prove existence of black magic. “Movies should help enlighten society, but Ram Gopal Verma through his movie is trying to spread superstitions like black magic. It is unfortunate that ‘Raksha’ is based on the murder of an aged couple in Medak district,” JVV general secretary T Ramesh said.
JVV members also said that ‘Raksha’ was made with the solo objective of earning money by playing on the fears of people.
