Vikram’s Kanthaswamy (Mallana) rolls damaged

The crew of the unit of ‘Kandhasamy’ (Mallana), who returned from Mexico recently, was in for a rude shock. Nearly 30 out of the 120 film rolls that were used for the shoot in the South American country have been found damaged.

The blame game has begun with some accusing the airport staff of ‘mishandling’ the film rolls. An inside source says that it could be the fault of the unit itself as they were extremely casual in attitude.

Normally for films that are shot abroad, the film rolls are prevented from getting ‘scanned’ at the airport by the security staff, if the crew provides ample proof to the airport authorities that those film rolls are used ones. This particular formality must have been followed in this instance too.

‘Kalaipuli’ Thanu is very upset as all the efforts and money spent in Mexico have been wasted. The veteran producer toyed briefly with the idea of flying to Mexico again, but later has ordered these scenes to be re-shot at perfect ‘settings’ in Binny Mills, where the climax of the Rajni-starrer ‘Sivaji: The Boss’ was shot.
