Everything is getting ready for the 55th Tiger Balm Filmfare Awards (South) 2007 that will be held on July 12 at the Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai, where star-gazers and fans will get an opportunity to watch their favourite stars in person. And that's not all. Stage performances by Shobana, Shriya, Hanssika Motwani, Ramya, Rambha, Raja, Poonam Bajwa and Namitha are sure to keep the audiences glued to their seats.
Introduced in the South in 1990, the Filmfare Awards are the most prominent film awards given for Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada cinema. They are given annually to honour the best talents and provide encouragement and incentive to the South Indian film industry. The last year's awards ceremony, held in Hyderabad, was all about glitz and glamour as a host of superstars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek, Aishwaryarai, Chiranjeevi, Vijay and Mammootty descended to make the event spectacular.
