Meera kisses onscreen

Meera kisses onscreen

Meera Jasmine has decided to shed her cute-but-naughty image by locking lips with not one, but two heroes! Nepaali in Tamil and Innathe Chinthavishayam in Malayalam are the two movies where the kissing scenes with her heroes have grabbed the attention of South India’s audiences.

In Nepaali, Bharath is Meera’s kissing partner; in Innathe Chinthavishayam, it is Mohanlal Bharath, and Southern screens are sizzling as a result.

V.Z. Dorai suggested that the script of Nepaali needed the kiss of life; Meera and Bharath provided it. Malayalam director Sathyan Anthikad decided that the best to show the characters are passionately in love would be a lip-lock. The kissing scene has been shot in Munnar – the honeymooners’ paradise – set to Ilayaraja’s melodious tunes and sung by Vijay Yesudas and Shwetha.

This will surely add to Meera Jasmine’s star value and help revive her slipping position in Tamil and Malayalam film industries. We just have to watch if Meera will repeat a similar stunt in Telugu films too. Let us hope so!

Poonam Bhajwa in Parugu!

Beautiful actress Poonam Bhajwa who debuted in the film Modati Cinema, could not become successful in her career after that. Luck was evading her even after she acted with Nagarjuna. Since both the films that she acted were declared as flops no producers wanted to risk by signing her.

But now she is said to have acted in the film ‘Parugu’, not as a heroine but in an important role. Any guesses!

Super fame Ayesha Takia now in a different line

Hot actress Ayesha Takia who won craze among the youth in Nag’s ‘Super’, after that, could not proceed further in tollywood due to weak opportunities. Bollywood also did not help her in any cause. So this beautiful lady had decided to change her line from acting to a different business.

Goa is one such place where there are no. of tourists visiting. So the best way to make money is to own a hotel in Goa. Ayesha is now exactly doing the same. She choose Goa as destination to run a hotel which she believes that she will get more reveneus than in acting. Good decision Ayesha!

Hansika's super mom!

She is one upcoming actress who knows to balance her education as well as her life as an actress. Well for this she is all thanks to her mom!

We are talking about Hansika who has made an impact onscreen with her hard work. There is always a woman behind someone's success they say, and Hansika owes her success to none other than her mommy!

The actress has revealed that her mom Mona is the best thing that has ever happened to her. Apart from being a very supportive mom, Mona is a very efficient manager when it comes to managing things for busy daughter, Hansika.

With mom Mona's cheer and support Hansika will sure reach good heights. Now it is not on a daily basis that we find moms who are supportive personally as well as professionally.

This sure is one good mother-daughter combo!

Bujjigadu Music Review

The audio of 'Bujjigadu' was released through the hands of South India Super Star Rajanikanth in Chennai. Sandeep Chowtha, who made his debut into Telugu film industry through 'Ninne Pelladatha' scored music for this movie. As per the indications, the hero's dialogue modulation has the scent of Tamil coupled with East Godavari region slang. Keeping all this in view, the music director composed tunes that suit Tamil film style. But for a couple of songs, the music was not that impressive. However, those who love songs with mass beat, the album is a feast for their ears.

Sudu Sude
Artistes:
Sandeep Chowta, Shruti Patak
Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla

The number starts a variety music borne out of keyboard, coupled with a drumbeat. Guitar sound was included in a mild tone in the background. The tune goes smoothly and in a slow beat. After listening twice or thrice, the audience could feel a romantic humming as the lyricist used English, Hindi and Telugu words of his choice. The female voice joins in the second stanza giving a romantic feel. Again, the music director gave a small twist to the tune by keeping a different sound, apparently to give a chance to choreographer to compose variety steps to the artistes. Sandeep Chowta himself rendered the song and the composition was very simple with just two or three instruments.

Chitti Aayire
Artistes:
Pradeep Somasundaran, Sonu Kakkar
Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla

The song begins with a 'saakee' with guitar in is backdrop. Immediately, the song takes the turn of a mass beat with drumbeat coupled with guitar in the backdrop. As the song progresses, again Sandeep Chowta chose to use keyboard again which is really a safe bet for him. Fortunately, the lyricist used Telugu words in stanzas. However, the humming between songs again had words from different languages. The humming had the style of a rap song. This humming gives the youth a feel not only to tap the feat but also dance if the situation permits.

Dhadak Dhadak
Artistes:
Sandeep Chowta, Nikita Nigam
Lyricist: Kandikonda

This number is tuned with a youthful music. However, it has the scent of old commercial formula song of 80s and 90s. This tune too starts with a humming. After a few seconds of violin play, joined by keyboard later, the song begins with a male voice. A point to mention here is that in almost all the songs, the music director did not go for a huge troupe and restricted it to very limited musicians. In this particular number, he chose violin to assist the key board. Nikhita's voice is very chirpy and romantic.

Love Me
Artistes:
Sandeep Chowta, Nikita Nigam
Lyricist: Kandikonda

The beginning of the song appears to have been done with an inspiration from the film 'Sivaji'. The extended trumpet sound with a jazz drum beat in the backdrop gives the feel of listening to Sivaji song. The male voice rendered by Sandeep Chowtha was quite airy and has a typical slang. Nikhita, however, is okay with her support voice to the music director. All through the song, that Sivaji tune haunted. It appears that the lyricist had tried to pen the lyric to suit the situation.

Guchchi Guchchi
Artistes:
Shruti Patak
Lyricist: Kandikonda

This song was tuned in a mass tune. The humming in the backdrop indicates that it might be an item number. In this song, the music director used a host of instruments. There were loud noises all through the song. The chorus humming is very noisy. The jazz beat continued to remain the same all through the song. Of course, guitar, keyboard played key role even in this number, despite there are different sounds in the backdrop. A sloka related to marriage comes before the last stanza, to elevate the suspense mood in the sequence.

Talaiva
Artistes:
Mark Lazaro, Anaida
Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla

This song was composed in complete Tamil scent. The audiences could find the style used in several Tamil films in this song. With lots of drumbeat and certain speed in the lyric, like several mass and group songs in Tamil films. Of course, the lyricist tried to keep some English words hummed between the stanzas, in tune with the song. This number is very noisy. The lyric has a combination of Tamil, English and Telugu language words. Though the song was in a fast beat, it is not known how the Telugu audience receive this song which has lots of Tamil scent.

Cast: Prabhas, Trisha, Sanjana, Mohanbabu, Prakash Raj and others

Producer: K S Rama Rao

Banner: Creative Commercials

Music Director : Sandeep Chowta

Director : Puri Jagannath

Bhaskar's take on 'Parugu'

Bhaskar who is tasting success with his debut film 'Bommarillu' being a super hit is a happy man. But like most of the successful people this director too has his own success funda. Bhaskar's style is to shape up real-life happenings into reel life so that the audience is able to relate to the characters they see on screen.

This new director is gearing up with his second film 'Parugu' which sees Allu Arjun playing the lead role. The film is expected to hit theatres on May Day. Speaking to the press on directing this film, the director has divulged that he was very comfortable with the subject of this film. Care was taken that he did not rush through this venture.

The director has said that all his characters have been molded and shaped up from real life characters. The same goes for the scenes that take place in his films too. The director is confident that the public will not reject a film when it has all the ingredients that make up for real life.

We salute the formula of this new talent and wish him the very best in his next venture too. We hope that the history of 'Bommarillu' is repeated with 'Parugu' too.

Genelia: Bollywood beckons!

In 'Boys' she was the apt heroine for the role. With her very fresh looks and innocent expression this lady has found her way in to a million hearts of the young and the old!

Genelia impressed the directors with her performance in 'Bommarillu' that the film was remade with her playing the lead female in Tamil too. This film titled 'Santosh Subramanyam' is running successfully in theaters across the state with good collection at the box office. In the Telugu version it was Siddharth who played the male lead and in Tamil it was 'Jayam' Ravi.

Reports are now doing the rides that Genelia has been offered to play the same role in this film's Hindi remake. Now that, we think, is a record of sorts because she gets to play the same role in remake films in three different languages. It is believed that Boney Kapoor has got the rights to remake the film in Hindi.

The Hindi version that is yet untitled will be directed by Anees Bazmi and Harman Baweja who will be making his debut as hero in Bollywood with 'Lovestory 2050', that has not yet been released, will be the hero of this film. Insiders indicate that the heroine herself has confirmed her presence in the film which will begin its shoot in a short while from now.

The incident happened in the Sulthan Bazar Area in Hyderabad were a set was erected for shooting the stunt scene for the 'Ghajini' remake. The medicos have identified a ruptured hamstring and have sedated the star. Aamir is feeling much better now.

The shooting has momentarily come to a standstill and will resume after the hero of the film is good to go. The 'Ghajini' remake in Hindi has Aamir, Asin and Jiah Khan playing the lead roles.

There are reports also doing the rounds that Aamir will be flown back to Mumbai today.

Sneha, whom the Telugu audiences consider as a girl preferably for family subjects, had earlier refused to play the role of aunt to Simbu in Tamil.

In fact, she shouted at them that she was not that old woman. However, there was a surprising information from Chennai that she had accepted to play a role of mother to Shriya and the film is yet to go to sets.

The film is being produced by Radaan Media and Saratkumar is playing the hero under the direction of KS Ravikumar.

After the release of 'Dasaavataram', this film would go to sets. According to sources, 'Sneha first said sorry, when she was contacted for the role of a mother.

However, she was convinced that Saratkumar is playing dual roles in the movie and the role of Sneha is also a heroine, but the character of mother is just for namesake. Then she agreed to play the role.'

Though the NTR (Junior) has many similarities with the late NT Rama Rao and despite he is the son of Harikrishna, the family members of Nandamuri clan never invited him for any of the family functions for reasons best known to them. Of course, it is their personal and family issue.

With the bond between Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu and Balakrishna with the marriage of their children, the former chief minister reportedly planned to make use of all the filmi glamour to woo the electorate in the next general elections.

In the process, NTR (junior) is becoming closer to the Nandamuri clan. Balakrishna invited NTR for Srirama Navami festivals held at his house. Likewise, Balakrishna and NTR met at a lunch hosted by Chandrababu Naidu.

In this backdrop, Balakrishna had attended the launch of NTR's latest film under the direction of VV Vinayak and jointly produced by Kodali Nani and Vallabhaneni Vamsimohan.

The muhurat of the film was held at Film Nagar Cultural Club. While Balakrishna gave the clap, SS Rajamouli switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised under the honorary direction of K Raghavendra Rao.

It is learnt that there will be two heroines in the film and Trisha and Ileana are being contacted for the purpose. Meanwhile, NTR's 'Kantri' is all set to hit the screen on May 7.
